Here at Ashlan Meadows we raise all of our pigs on pasture.  This means they get to spend everyday grazing on grass and forage.

We first started raising hogs after our first year of growing produce.  We noticed how much good product was going to waste either because it had an imperfection that people avoided or that just simply went bad before it could be purchased.  Our solution, find a productive use for all this product going to waste.  Now, instead of throwing out valuable and healthy produce, we feed it to our pigs.  Their favorites are tomatoes and watermelons! This not only keeps the pigs healthy but it also keeps them happy and reduces our on farm waste. Try it for yourself and taste the difference!
